SMACS : solutions for multi-flow security in anti-tailgating

The SMACS are reliable solutions for multi-flow, high performance and flexible anti-tailgating, based on a multisensor strategy. Many leading companies worldwide use SMACS to ensure their security. Typical applications are in data centers, secure production areas, airports, R & D and finance.

With SMACS, a multi-flow security can be implemented within a single infrastructure, thus providing more security while saving space. The flows that are managed by SMACS are the flows of people, of people with disabilities, of people with extreme body sizes, of hand luggage and of equipment. Designed to integrate seamlessly into the existing infrastructure, SMACS are the natural complement to any identification system such as ID cards and biometric sensors.

The flexibility of the SMACS also allows to set-up security processes that are aligned with customer needs. Examples of such
processes are the "symmetric security" mode, the "asymmetric security" mode, the "single lock" mode, the "VIP" mode, the "transport" mode, ...

Patented and Swiss-made, the SMACS are compatible with many security standards in different types of industry (i.e. PCI,
AEO, TAPA, IFS, …).

  •  Complete, customized airlock solutions

  •  Multi-flow security (persons, handicapped persons persons with extreme corpulence, hand-luggage, material)

  •  Multifunctional infrastructure (airlock, emergency exit, material door, …)

  •  Harmonious integration into your existing building architecture and technical infrastructure

  •  Retrofit is possible

  •  Over 25 years of experience

Details on the different SMACS solutions can be found here-after:

  • SMACS Flex (PDFVIDEO) : Anti-tailgating solution for 2 to 4 doors airlock where high security is needed, with the option to handle securely luggage.
Typical examples are datacenters, logistic centers, critical infrastructure, secure production zones, financial institutions, airports, R&D centers, luxury goods production zones, prisons, governmental institutions, …

Use Cases

The SMACS are flexible and performant solutions against tailgating. Since 1999, numerous entrances and passages have been successfully secured with SMACS solutions. More information on specific use cases may be found in our press releases.

SMACS are able to secure multiple types of flows simultaneously (people, people with disabilities, people with extreme body sizes, hand luggage and equipment). SMACS can be installed and integrated seamlessly in existing infrastructure. SMACS operation modes are aligned on the requirements of the customers and include such modes as the "symmetric security" mode, the "asymmetric security" mode, the "single lock" mode, the "VIP" mode, the "transport" mode, ...

The SMACS solutions have been used to enforce many demanding security standards in different market sectors.

Such standards include PCI-CP, IFS, TAPA, AEO, ...

Typical applications are in:

  • Datacentres

  • Secured production zones

  • Financial institutions

  • Airports

  • Vaults

  • Government facilities

  • Critical infrastructure: army, defense, ...

  • Laboratories and R&D centers

  • Headquarters

  • Prisons

Benefits

Limitations of the mechanical solutions:

Traditional solutions for anti-tailgating rely on mechanical or physical constraints that impede people movements. This approach has significant performance weaknesses and does not provide the flexibility which is necessary for efficient security processes.

SMACS advantages:

  • SMACS solutions have high-performance and are flexible.

  • Besides the anti-tailgating functionality, the SMACS incorporate the functionalities of empty check and door management.

  • Multiple flows security can be implemented within a single infrastructure, thus providing more security while saving space. The flows that are managed by SMACS are the flow of people, of people with disabilities, of people with extreme body sizes, of hand luggage and of equipment.

  • Can integrate with any access control and/or identification system such as ID cards and biometric sensors.

  • Security processes that are aligned with customer needs. Examples of such processes are the "symmetric security" mode, the "asymmetric security" mode, the "single lock" mode, the "VIP" mode, the "transport" mode, ...

  • No physical constraints are imposed on the users.

  • Designed to integrate seamlessly into the existing infrastructure.

  • Reference customers worldwide since 1999.

  • Patented and Swiss-made.
