FASTCOM Technology SA secures security-relevant access points at IT.NRW. SMACS FlexMat secures the flow of people and materials. The solution meets the high security requirements, but also allows for flexible use.

The customer: IT.NRW develops and operates the IT infrastructure for the North Rhine-Westphalian state administration. It also advises state authorities and offers IT training for members of the public administration. At the same time and in addition to other tasks, IT.NRW also act as the state statistical office for the state of NRW.

The challenge: The security concept meets the highest standards. All flows of people and materials into the IT areas must be secured. Access must be fast and convenient for authorized employees, but forbidden to unauthorized persons. Material transports must be possible both separately and in combination with simultaneous personnel access.

The solution: SMACS FlexMat is implemented to optimally secure the flow of people and materials. People and material flows can be integrated into the existing infrastructure in two- or more doors mantraps, without major construction work. SMACS can be implemented into almost any mantrap size and layout, while complying with major organizational requirements. Special modes (cleaning mode, VIP mode, emergency exit mode, etc.) are available.
